OBSERVATION FIRST
The sky panel is the HI4PI all-sky H I observation. Spectra and the l-v panel are extracted from the LAB survey at b=0 deg. A face-on Milky Way image is not directly observed from Earth; any disk reconstruction is model-dependent and is not presented as a photograph.
